SIR LOTHAR GRIMSBURG
Human Paladin of Heironeous
Sir Lothar stands almost six and a half feet tall. His armor covers most of his body, and the exposed areas are covered by bandages. Many in the clan believe Sir Lothar is a half-breed mix of human and hobgoblin (or orc or ogre or gnoll, depending on whom you speak to), but they have no doubts of his good intentions.
Lothar (he was then a common warrior and not yet a knighted Paladin of Heironeous) met the group shortly after the final battle at Burgis. His group of roving warriors was just attacked by hobgoblins; Lothar himself was knocked unconscious in the struggle. The distant, muffled sound of human voices awakened him hours, maybe days, later; he crawled out from the pile of his friends' corpses to seek out the voices. When he found them they very nearly attacked him; his bloody condition, covered face, and gravelly, raspy voice put them on edge. A quick parlay revealed him as a kindred spirit, however, and he has been traveling with the group ever since.
Sir Lothar weilds Orcsplitter II, a massive, rune-covered sword which is enchanted to deal massive damage. It is -1 to hit, but +4 to damage. It was previously known as "Deepwound."
Sir Lothar's knack for diplomacy is evident in his handling of Nilg, the gobboid leader.
